So, yesterday in English we were doing a write up of the notes we wanted for our ‘connections across texts’ thing, where we choose three out of four texts that we’d looked at in class, and one of our own choice. (And yes, texts include novels, films, poems etc.)

So guess what I chose. It’s pretty predictable. Les Mis. Of course. Our theme we have to connect is choices, and I decided I’d talk about the choices Eponine makes, because she’s my favourite character and she’s so courageous, and somehow turns out to be a lovely caring person, despite her awful parents.

In other words, I spent an entire class (50 minutes), filling up a page with all of the lines Eponine says, or lines relating to her, that I could remember off the top of my head. Which, in case any of you didn’t know, I know all of Eponine’s lines. I could probably quote most of the movie, in fact. Because I listen to the soundtrack constantly on repeat.
